About the Distillery
Why is the distillery name Second Sight Spirits? The name comes from the mystical idea of “second sight” which is the ability to see beyond the ordinary and into the future. We chose it as a way to connect with guests who, like us, dream about what’s ahead. Inspired by fortune-telling and vintage vaudeville theater, we craft spirits and experience with vision and creativity, making our distillery as much about your future as it is about ours.
What is the story behind your distillery? The story behind Second Sight Spirits is a tale of strange adventures with a cast of characters along the way that helped to transform a simple craft distillery into a place where everyone is greeted as a friend in an environment unique to world of distilling.
Are you on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail? Yes! Second Sight Spirits has been part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail since 2017.
Are you part of the B Line Bourbon Trail? Yes! Second Sight Spirits has been a proud part of the B Line Self Guided Bourbon Trail since 2017.
Where is your distillery located? Second Sight is located at 301 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky in an old pharmacy. The distillery is located in downtown of Ludlow, Kentucky.
Do you offer distillery tours or tastings? We offer tours and tastings throughout the weekend on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays. We also offer a midweek tour on Thursdays but our lounge will not be open for coffee and cocktails during that time. We also offer tastings if you do no have time for a tour. We’ll start you off with four of our fan-favorite spirits, then let you choose one or two more that catch your interest. If we’re busy, feel free to grab a cocktail and relax in our lounge while you wait and we’ll take care of you as soon as we can!
What makes your spirits different from others? Ever wondered what spirits from fortune telling still taste like? We got you covered, all of our spirits coming from a one of a kind still built by the distillers.
Are your products locally sourced or sustainably made? Second Sight uses as many local sources as they can for the spirits. Our grain comes from Louisville and the spices and botanicals come from Colonel Dee’s Spices.
Product Information
What types of spirits do you produce? Second Sight Spirits crafts Oak Eye Kentucky Straight Bourbon, single malt whiskey, a variety of rums, moonshines, hazelnut liqueur, and an absinthe.
Are your spirits gluten-free or vegan? Second Sight spirits are gluten-free due to the distilling process and vegan as we do not add any animal products into our spirits.
Can I buy your spirits online? Unfortunately, Second Sight Spirits does not sell their products on line.
Where can I find your products near me? Second Sight spirits can be found in bars, restaurants, and liquors stores throughout Kentucky and Ohio.
Shipping & Purchasing
Do you ship your products nationally/internationally? We do not ship our spirits at this time, maybe in we will in the future!
Visiting the Distillery
What days are you open? Second Sight Spirits is open on Thursdays for tours and Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for tour and bar service.
What times are you open? Second Sight Spirits from 9am until 6pm and is available for rental after 6:30 on the weekends.
What times are your tours? Second Sight tours are available on Fridays at noon, 2pm, and 4pm, on Saturdays at 10am, noon, 2pm, and 4pm on Sundays at noon, 2pm, and 4pm
Do you serve food? Second Sight does not currently serve food but you are welcome to bring in food into the distillery.
Do I need a reservation for a tasting or tour?
Is the distillery family friendly? Second Sight Spirits is family friendly! We have a coffee shop to serve non acholic drinks, hot chocolates, and mocktails.
Is the distillery dog friendly? Unfortunately, Second Sight is not dog friendly.
Do you host private events or group bookings? Absolutely, we love to have guest rent our distillery for a variety of events. Please check our rental page for more details!
Is your distillery wheelchair accessible? Our distillery is wheelchair friendly, the whole distillery is on one floor without steps making it easy for our friends to navigate our space.
